Welcome to the 10th Anniversary Edition where absolutely everything has changed except the author!
This manual used to contain just over 250 pictures in 99 pages. Now it contains over 780 pictures in 163 pages. It's dense and it's thorough. This book contains everything that a beginning student will cover in their first course on aerial silks (which typically is about one year in length). It includes but is not limited to injury prevention exercises, grounded conditioning, aerial conditioning drills, and step-by-step instruction of all the skills, with proper prerequisites and progression planning all in one book!
Volume 2 (Level 2) picks up where Volume 1 (Level 1) leaves off. It starts with entries into crossback straddle, the pinnacle skill that is a milestone for a beginning Level 2 student. Then, the book ventures off into climbs, double catcher's, hip & thigh wraps, hitches, s-wraps, drops, beginning momentum, and a great curriculum summary to follow along with.
With over 300 detailed pictures, this step-by-step manual covers all the basics of a first course in aerial yoga. Pigeon, bow, frog, plank and more than forty other moves are described using the fabric as an assisting tool. Moves are done both in conjunction with the ground and suspended in the air. Designed for both teachers and students, this manual is the perfect reference handbook to have on hand.
In this first volume of the Aerial Hoop Manual series you will find over 600 pictures to help depict over 50 families of moves which are explained through detailed step-by-step instructions.
Students will gain an understanding of where the content fits into the big picture of aerial hoop. Teachers will be assisted in learning how to properly teach progressions, grip choices and much more.
In the Aerial Hoop Manual Vol.2 there are over 1000 pictures in this beast of a book. Study advanced ways to move under the hoop with classic moves such as meathooks, heel hang and toe hang. Hone your technique of the shoulder stand and splits all around the hoop in chapter two. Throughout the manual learn more about aerial theory and the big picture of how moves relate to one another in the "about this move" descriptions that accompany every move.
Volume 2 covers advanced building blocks such as front balance, back balance, break beats and meathooks. It then weaves an intricate web of transitions between all the major moves of rope. This book focuses special attention on hitches, including seatbelts and rolling in u-locks. The book concludes with an introduction to momentum. Perfect for anyone who is starting their advanced rope journey.
Volume 1 covers beginning-intermediate moves, derived from the foundations of rope such as hip key, footlock, opposite-side and same-side wrap, and S-wrap.
With over 75 moves presented in almost 1,000 pictures, this is Rebekah’s most dense manual to date. For example, you’ll find over 20 climbs presented, as well as detailed steps on progressions such as that of the double knee hang.
